Senior Sales Director - Media, Entertainment, Streaming Vertical 

We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Sales Director to join our team, to grow our client base across the DACH region, Selling to Media, Entertainment, Streaming, Digital Publishing, Online Video & Audio sectors, so you’ll bring with you a wealth of experience in selling into some of these areas.

The Senior Sales Director is an individual contributor position, where you will be supported by a Sales Engineer and a fantastic marketing team spanning product marketing and lead generation to ensure you have all the tools and insights you need to sell. This is a position well suited to a Senior Sales Director that loves a strategic yet technical and at times complex sell. This role is focussed driving customer acquisition, revenue, adoption and market penetration in a targeted list of prospects and accounts for the DACH region. 

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prospecting to the Media. Entertainment, Streaming, VOD and Audio sectors across Germany, ideally DACH. 
  • Development, management and execution of regional plan to ensure Fastly meets its objectives of continued growth in the DACH region.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and account plan to drive revenue and market share in the defined digital media services
  • Accountable for driving sales, revenue, and meeting or exceeding quota goals and MBO’s
  • Effectively and independently deliver the Fastly company story, value proposition, and product demonstrations.
  • Prepare and manage proposals, quotes, and contracts
  • Managing all aspects of the sales cycle including: prospecting, sales campaign/meetings, negotiation close, account management
  • Work closely with the the key stakeholders across the Fastly business including Client Services, Marketing, Product, Product Marketing to ensure the regional efforts are aligned and executed.

 

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years minimum of technology (B2B, SaaS preferred) related sales or business development experience with senior leadership and C-level executives across Technology & Marketing
  • Strong network of contacts and experience selling into Media. Entertainment, Streaming, VOD and Audio companies across Germany, ideally DACH. 
  • A technical sales background and a strong marketing and business development acumen that enable them to drive an engagement at the CTO, CMO, and VP of Digital
  • Be prepared to develop, be accountable for and execute against a clear plan to consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets. Experience in developing, leading and executing growth of customers and teams is preferable.
  • A successful track record of selling a highly technical product to enterprise companies, building, development and growth of commercial growth business in Germany and the broader DACH region
  • Direct field experience and extensive customer network within mid-size businesses to Enterprise, Including large multi-divisional/multinational companies.
  • Experience with technologies and content delivery network services, security services, cloud based services, SaaS, PaaS, content management, web analytics, website performance, cloud storage, mobile content delivery or managed web hosting is highly desired
  • BA/BS degree required, major in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus
  • Fluency in German + English 
  • Self starter who can demonstrate development, growth and expansion of business area.

 

Your Location 

We are open to where you are located as this is a position where you can be home based, but Munich or Berlin would be preferred.
