Responsibilities
Overview:
IBTCI is seeking a Reporting Consultant to assist with reviewing and editing draft monitoring reports for the Yemen Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Project. This is a part time position that will require approximately 10 days of work per month. The period of performance is expected to be from October 1, 2020 to January 21 2020, with the option for extension if option years are received.
Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Reviews and edits draft site visit reports for substance and presentation.
- Provides suggestions for improvement of reporting formats, processes and protocols.
- Reports to YMELP COP.
- Collaborates closely with YMELP staff in Yemen and Jordan.
- Liaises as needed with YMELP's monitoring subcontractors.
- This position does not authorize/require the consultant to directly communicate with IBTCI clients.
- This position does not authorize/require the consultant to have decision making authority on final work product.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Excellent writing skills
- At least 5 years of experience in copy-editing or report writing
- Works well in a team setting and highly organized.
- MS Office Skills required
- Ability to work under pressure
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English required.
Education: BA degree in social sciences, humanities, or related field
Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does have supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
Travel: International travel will not be required.
