🎉 The role

We're seeking a Product Manager to join our ‘Launch Team’ which is responsible for validating designing, building and launching different Learning Experience Formats. You’ll also be writing our ‘launch handbook’ to set culture as we scale, and be responsible for hiring to sustain validated products.

You'll be partnering with the CTO, CEO, CEdO and 10 fellow product owners and engineers to build applications to support how our learning experiences are discovered, delivery and engaged with. Reporting to our founding team means that your way of working will set culture and have input into what we build and why we're building it.

The ideal candidate is a generalist, entrepreneurial PM who can move fluidly between 30,000 foot strategy, partner conversations, user analytics, user research, project management and more.

We talk to our families, a lot And we’re deepening our way that we enable our learners to have more direct say over what gets built next through things like pre-signups and proposal voting. Everyone on the team spends time in our online community spaces and is constantly exploring new experiments with our families.

As a product teem, we are deeply ambitious. We've built one of the first online, global schools, we’re now building tools for launching in person schools, we’re experimental in our pedagogy and embrace all sorts of new technologies from Web3 to VR and beyond.

You'll have deep support: our founding team’s CTO will work closely with you and we care about finding opportunities for you to grow, and work on what you have the most energy and enthusiasm for.

As a global school to hundreds of students, with partnerships with nearly 20 physical learning centres, your location independence is not only assured, but highly impactful.

Women and under-represented minorities strongly encouraged to apply.

🧭 Ideal candidate

  • Demonstrated product development from ideation to launch for products people love using (we expect this will normally take 2-5 years of PM experience to accrue but are open to candidates with faster learning curves)
  • Entrepreneurial background and spirit, either as a founder, early team member or experience building something from 0-1 in a larger company.
  • A passion for building the future of learning. A small fire of frustration towards the legacy education system is welcomed.
  • Clear, concise communicator with an emphasis on written communication.
  • Strategic thinker who can develop and communicate a mental model for a problem and develop and oversee testable business model and feature hypotheses.
  • Experience designing UX / UI for learners aged 8-18.
  • Previously an educator, whether that be with children or adult learning. Generally has developed their own pedagogical practice and ability to teach children or adults.
  • Work with DevOps cycles in GitLab.
  • Confident with wire framing and prototypes in Figma
  • Write Documentation in Notion.
  • Draw insights from analytics in MixPanel.
  • Even if you're worried you don't meet all these qualifications, please reach out! We'd love to hear from you. We value experience of all kinds and you don't have to have a product manager education or background to succeed here!

What you’ll be working on

We’re currently running on experiments for around 8 different ‘products’ each will require further validation, design and development. You’ll be deeply focusing on 1 or 2 products which have the most potential.

  • If you're looking for a "growth at all costs", "hyper-funded rocket ship" environment, we might not be the place for you.
  • We want PMs who can come in and start creating impact within the first 30 Days. So it's not the right place for you if you DO NOT have prior experience in shipping internet products.
  • You will be expected to work largely independently, and shoulder a significant chunk of responsibilities. This might or might not work for you depending on what you are looking for in your next job.
