Overview

Our rapidly-scaling medical education technology company is seeking a copywriter to help develop our brand voice and create strong messaging across marketing, content, and the Osmosis product. This role is a great opportunity to develop and manage the voice and messaging for a growing brand.

About Osmosis

Our mission is to “Empower the world’s clinicians & caregivers with the best learning experience possible.” To this end, we have an audience of millions of current & future clinicians as well as patients and family members. Members of the Osmosis learning platform and video library learn efficiently and excel in classes, board exams, and in the clinic.

We are a distributed team of creative, approachable, and motivated entrepreneurs, researchers, artists, educators, writers, and clinicians who are passionate about improving healthcare and education. At Osmosis, we collaborate remotely and value highly-motivated problem solvers who manage their time efficiently, communicate earnestly, work effectively, and understand the importance of life-work balance.  We do everything we can to make sure our teammates are successful personally and professionally.

About the Role

As Osmosis’s Copywriter, you’ll develop the messaging across all our touchpoints including digital marketing, email communications, video, short- and long-form creative assets, and product. You’ll balance day-to-day execution with big-picture thinking: Refining Osmosis’ brand voice via development of the Voice & Tone Guidelines; creating documentation around copywriting best practices; making data-driven decisions to optimize messaging for its greatest impact; developing legal guidelines; and managing brand reviews of new Osmosis content.

To thrive in this role, we’re looking for someone who can seamlessly switch from execution (crafting ad copy or partnering with a designer on a data story) to strategy (developing messaging guidelines and taking the helm of our legal guidelines). A background working both independently and collaboratively is key: You’ll have the opportunity to drive and lead projects, and also to partner across the business bringing new initiatives to life.

We’re seeking a seasoned writer with a track record of navigating ambiguity with finesse, developing best practices and internal documentation, and someone who’s eager to roll up their sleeves and write!

As the copywriter for Osmosis, you’ll work closely with our Content and Marketing teams including our blog, social media, and creative organizations. You’ll help build a brand voice that will resonate across all our audiences.

What You'll Do

The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Quickly onboard with Osmosis’ brand voice so you can own and drive our voice guidelines.
  • Collaborate across the content and marketing teams to develop creative and messaging.
  • Write, edit, and craft messaging including digital advertising, email/CRM, educational content (including video), and product messaging.
  • Help evolve the Osmosis brand voice and copy style.
  • Deliver copy that engages and converts customers, including leveraging data to quickly iterate and learn.

This position is a contracted remote position for 10-30 hours per week.

Who You Are

  • 3-4+ years of copywriting experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English.
  • Experience in B2C and B2B verticals.
  • Experience developing and/or refining a brand voice.
  • Experience working across teams on cross-functional projects.
  • Experience developing and maintaining legal guidelines, internal documentation, and messaging frameworks.
  • Excellent copywriting skills including a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated success navigating ambiguity and working quickly while keeping a high bar for quality.
  • Excellent at juggling competing projects, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Experience working with remote/distributed workforces is a plus.
  • Mentorship and/or management experience preferred.

Preferred attributes

  • Adaptable. You are flexible and versatile with projects, goals, and strategies. You move quickly with change and stay open-minded.
  • Proactive. You seek out new ways to help and problem-solve with your team members. You don’t wait for someone else to pick up the slack.
  • Entrepreneurial. You are a proven executor and work diligently to produce excellent results with limited time and resources.
  • Lifelong learner. You consume content (podcasts, blogs, books, etc) that is relevant to your craft, our company, and our customers and you apply these learnings in your work to make sure you are as effective as possible.
  • Mission and Vision Aligned. A passion for Osmosis’s mission, vision, and values.

One of our values is to “Open Your Arms”. In line with this, if you have any specific needs that may require a different method for application submission, please reach out to us at [email protected].
